Who We Are
Team Türkiye Debate is Turkey's national high school debate team. Our members come from different schools and debate circuits across the country and train together to represent Turkey at international competitions.
We are brought together by a shared approach to debate: careful preparation, clear argumentation, and direct engagement with opposing ideas. When we compete abroad, we represent not just ourselves, but the way debate is practiced and valued in Turkey — serious, disciplined, and grounded in respect for clash.
What We Do
We compete in international debate tournaments against teams from around the world. Our preparation includes training camps, regular practice debates, detailed feedback sessions, and focused work on motion analysis, case construction, and rebuttal. Outside tournaments, we work to contribute to debate in Turkey by sharing experience, mentoring younger debaters, and setting a clear standard for national-level preparation. For us, debate is not just competition — it is a skill built through time, structure, and serious effort.
